"Intercourse/PIV is always rape, plain and simple."

I was trying to find out what piv sex meant when I came across this blog.

witchwind.wordpress.com/2013/12/15/piv-is-always-rape-ok/

I was rather taken aback by its premise.

Other quotes include:
...intercourse is NEVER sex for women...
...intercourse is inherently harmful to women and intentionally so...

Is this a commonly held view point amongst feminists? Or just the extreme radical side.

I am not posting this to be goady, if anything quite the opposite.

exWifebeginsat40 Thu 03-Dec-15 15:52:50

she had me at 'sado-gynaecological interventions'.

this is an extreme point of view from a radical feminist. I'm still not sure why feminists occasionally claim to speak for all women - that in itself subjugates the individual.

to sum up: in my own personal opinion the author is bonkers.

HermioneWeasley Thu 03-Dec-15 15:56:22

Nope, she's bonkers.

SouthYarraYobbo Thu 03-Dec-15 15:57:42

confused

madwomanbackintheattic Thu 03-Dec-15 15:58:31

You see, if you rewind fwr back to the hey-day, this is pretty much the view that attracted the MRAs to the site. Fortunately these days it's a little less bonkers.

LibrariesgaveusP0wer Thu 03-Dec-15 16:00:57

No. She's a loon.

partialderivative Thu 03-Dec-15 16:01:05

Thanks for your quick responses.

Am I the only one to not have known what piv meant?

Fabellini Thu 03-Dec-15 16:06:08

Goodness! What an interesting opinion!

FreeWorker1 Thu 03-Dec-15 16:08:40

The link doesn't work.

Lozza1990 Thu 03-Dec-15 16:10:19

What a load of crap. Yeah I didn't know what PIV meant either.

IShouldBeSoLurky Thu 03-Dec-15 16:11:44

Is it just me, or does that make you want to take all your clothes off and lay down on the bed and beg DP to fuck you?

Just me then. grin

I particularly liked "penile dejection".

BertrandRussell Thu 03-Dec-15 16:18:08

Yep. All feminists think that. They also all wear dungarees, smell, have hairy armpits and kick men in the balls if they dare to hold a door open. They also cast their boy children out of doors once they reach the age of 6, and hate all men.

When you read the article, OP, what did you think?

m0therofdragons Thu 03-Dec-15 16:18:19

I can't help thinking that if she's getting so injured and no pleasure she's doing it wrong. Am I alone in feeling totally in control when fucking dh? After sex I can ask him to do any job (like put the bins out) and he won't grumble at all - not sure he realises but it puts him in a very agreeable mood. I think that woman would hate me.

Pico2 Thu 03-Dec-15 16:18:51

I particularly liked the M&S advert for school uniform that I got at the bottom of the article. I know it's because I've been looking at school uniform, but it was so incongruous.

partialderivative Thu 03-Dec-15 16:20:52

When you read the article, OP, what did you think?

I thought it sounded like no woman I have known.

BertrandRussell Thu 03-Dec-15 16:22:37

Exactly. So can I ask why you are wondering if it's a commonly held view point among feminists?

OydNeverDeclinesGin Thu 03-Dec-15 16:26:49

Penile dejection!! Oh the LOLZ grin

ouryve Thu 03-Dec-15 16:30:50

It's even extreme by radical feminist standards.

partialderivative Thu 03-Dec-15 16:32:55

So can I ask why you are wondering if it's a commonly held view point among feminists?

Because I would like to hear the opinions of those outside of my friendship group. I'd like to know if this is a commonly held opinion.

This seemed a fairly good place to start

specialsubject Thu 03-Dec-15 16:33:23

seems to be a very sick man-hater. It is not acceptable to hate women, and this is not acceptable either.

with 7 billion people on the planet we are going to get a few loons.

UnDeuxTroisCatsSank Thu 03-Dec-15 16:33:24

She is not representing rad fems, feminists, women or anybody else. She is saying what she thinks.

I disagree with almost everything she says and I think she is a terrible writer, inarticulate and muddled.

BertrandRussell Thu 03-Dec-15 16:34:13

It's nothing to do with radical feminism. Radical does not mean extreme, or very or rampant or rampaging!

BuffytheScaryFeministBOO Thu 03-Dec-15 16:34:33

BertrandRussell Thu 03-Dec-15 16:36:34

Well, if none of your friends hold views like this and you've never heard them expeessed before, then isn't it a reasonable guess that they are not "widely held"?

WishItWasSunday Thu 03-Dec-15 16:37:16

The title of the blog appears to be "radical wind blowing through female outer space"...My inner kid is chuckling to that.
Very unpleasant article IMO, another one that just helps the all-feminists-are-men-hating-loonies brigade.
