Doctors taking selfies during birth

Obviously this is some click bait from metro though this is pretty low, and also the nurses #thankfulhusbandstitch

Would hope this phenomenon wouldn't jump the pond!

Urgh

I can't imagine there are many other medical situations where doctors would think it was OK to take and post pictures of their patients naked / exposed / unconscious and so forth, without their consent.

The comments about stitching them up are vile.

You expect more from medical professionals FFS.

Seems like these all originate from the Philippines... probably not a paragon of medical ethics! I can guarantee that if this happened in the UK you'd be struck off the register by the NMC or the GMC.

Not even the majority are from Philippines. Which has similar medical ethics to ours incidentally. I'd imagine that most OBS/GYN here wouldn't take selfies of themselves with unconscious women, they don't really need to, given that way a terrifyingly large number of women are treated by them during labour and birth anyway. Selfies would just be the icing on the cake.

I also know for a fact that the "husband stitch" happens in this country. Often shortly after the episiotomy there was zero consent for.
