Any suggestions please? A starter book, I suppose, a summary of all those brilliant studies that prove sexist jokes are harmful, that explains what feminism means, how sexism is still so prevalent.... Looking for something to give to a teen.

TIA.

* Everyday Sexism (there's a book as well as the website/twitter feed.)
* The Equality Illusion by Kat Banyard.
* If they're an older teen, then Cordelia Fine's Delusions of Gender, but it might be a bit much if they're only just 13 rather than 19.

Actually, there's loads out there at the moment (feminism is fashionable just now, which I suppose means it will become unfashionable soon enough.)

Ditto on Everyday Sexism. Also, Laura Bates does do lectures and makes the case for women very well. Hearing it in person had a transformational effect on me. You can find her presentation on youtube too (but it's not the same as being there!).

I love Gail Dines and her lectures on YouTube. I kind of worship her.

I would suggest anything by Andrea Dworkin for reading, particularly Right Wing Women.
