A good article but no surprise about what she has to say.

No surprise but she is fab and is she being given a voice and that can only be good. And she's old and wise enough not to be cowed by the misogynists. I also loved her strident = female authority and force description.

I think she's great. And she is not afraid to stand up and be counted.

I was at her lecture last night - it was superb, really interesting, slightly saddening at point.

A man asked her a question at the end, and made a suggestion about 'male genes' and she slammed him to the ground Grin

I'm a little bit of a fan girl today.

Meant to ask, what was asked about "male genes"?

Grin

I am glad she slammed him. And envious of you going to the lecture.

I also want to know what the question was?

He said something about gender-typical work. Which was fine, and then she replied to that, to which he made the 'male genes' comment. He was sat right in the front row, and just sank slowly lower and lower for the rest of the time. Grin

The other questions that were asked (which won't be covered in the BBC footage, they said) were interesting, it would have been great it it could have been like a discussion group almost afterwards.
