Great, inspiring and true letter from Sinead O'Connor every young woman and teenager should read.

My 11yo DS watched the MC Wrecking Ball video on TV and he was asking "why she was doing what she was doing because she looked horrible" and that she was "well weird" So not impressed or at all influenced - hooray!

He likes music and had heard the song on the radio, knowing nothing of MC at all, found it all very odd and unwatchable.

To be honest, I found Amanda Palmer's letter much better, and much less patronising, than Sinead's.

Yeah, Miley didn't react very well, but then I can kind of understand why she's pissed off and lashing out. (That doesn't mean that I find the mental health comments acceptable).
