curryeater - you might want to post that link over on the politics thread "justice for men and boys". A couple of men on there who just don't get it.

A truly excellent blog post. She says it perfectly.

gosh- that needs saying? when did this misandry thing crop up?
a good post though, but I'm guessing won't go down well with its intended audience

That's a really great blog post

I'll be liberally linking to it next time the MRA's come a-visiting

great article. I still haven't figured out what MRAs actually want us to do. They admit they have all the money and power, but the system us still against them. You are the fucking system talk to other men if you want things to be different. But please just say what it is you are actually after

SigmundFraude · 10/04/2013 22:14

I expect most MHRA's have already read it, going by this direct response to the article you have linked to:

They want us to suck their cocks for eight hours and then make them a sandwich.

No really, that is what they want.

It's almost as simple as that.

They are really fucking pissed off that just sometimes, women don't focus all their attention on men. Just sometimes, we get to live for ourselves. They see women having their own lives, independent of men, as a massive attack on men.

And they're right actually. It's massively scary for inadequate men to understand that one day, a world might exist where women don't need them to function in society.

When that happens, only nice men are ever going to have access to relationships with women.

That means that either they will have to be nice, or they will remain single.

They feel entitled to access to women's domestic and sexual services, so the idea that they should stay single, is perceived to be an attack on their human rights to possess a woman who is focussed on their needs and wants, not her own. And the alternative, of being nice... well, that's not really open to these pricks.

Wow, that's one naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrow lens you have on there.

that sounds a bit right basil, I cant imagine what it must be like to be with one if them.

That voice link is really weird. It says that women keep getting more rights (?) but will not free men from their "obligations" but then does not in any way explain what these obligations are.

Is it to do with holding doors open (again)?

Baffling article.
The article in the OP was emjoyable though Smile

Report
YouMakeMeWannaLaLa · 10/04/2013 23:47

Yeah, holding doors and paying for dinner I reckon.

I can't see that second link because of a ContentLock on my computer.

Either my computer's a feminist or it fears for my blood pressure Grin

AnyFucker · 10/04/2013 23:51

By "obligations" I think they mean contributing to supporting the children they father.

SatsukiKusukabe · 10/04/2013 23:51

they are bleating on in the politics section about feminism not taking on MRAs causes Confused why would we? it's feminism.. MRAs aren't fighting the way women are seen by the media? do you think it's a joke thing or a derailing tactic or do they really see themselves as second class citizens....

AnyFucker · 10/04/2013 23:53

LaLa, your pc has a well-honed twat radar Smile

Report
BasilBabyEater · 11/04/2013 00:14

Satsuki, they seriously believe that women's job is to service them.

That includes doing their political lobbying for them, against our own interests.

They really do see it as an attack on them if we don't service them.

Wankers.

it hurts my head basil.

Report
NiceTabard · 11/04/2013 01:32

Ah don't hurt your pretty little head!

That would be so wrong. Probably your head hurts as you are going against your intrinsic nature. Please do start knitting and darning and doing lots of ironing as soon as you can. maybe bake a little and enjoy feeling awed when there are blokes around who are talking. This should make you feel better Smile

Report
HullMum · 11/04/2013 02:47

actually do more than my fair share of baking and knitting.... but will get on the ironing straight away! will have to find it first

I wish MRA's would campaign for what they want, rather than campaigning against feminists.

Report
YoniTime · 11/04/2013 16:41

Well my impression of what MRA's want is no feminism, so they are campaigning for what they want.

Report
SplitHeadGirl · 11/04/2013 19:42

Basil I really liked your explanation there. I never quite got what it was these strange men were looking for. That makes a lot of sense. I suppose you would have to be quite a controlling person to be a MRA and slabber on about misandry - controlling towards women anyway.

The thing is, feminism IS an attack on men's rights...that is, if you think men's rights are to lord it of women and children.

YoniTime · 11/04/2013 20:27
