Personally I agree it's tasteless but there's no need to be outraged on their behalf - I think women in Hollywood are fully on board with the inherent sexism.

They were in on the joke, if they had a problem with anyone noticing their boobs I doubt they'd be showing them bare on film to millions of people they've never met. The song was funny, it was a piss take, people are so desperate to get offended at the mildest things, often on behalf of people who aren't remotely offended.

It was a separate event, but overall showing the sexism and racism with an Academy that backed it all and is known to be 96% white and 77% male.

those actresses surely do agree to go topless, but do they do so imagining that some halfwit will serenade them with 'we saw your boobs' broadcast to an audience of your peers, on a night when you are maybe hoping to be recognised for your craft?

as a woman who has sometimes had to laugh weakly when people more powerful than me made shitty jokes about women, i empathise.
