How to be a good and happy housewife article

'The good housewife needs to maintain a good appearance and do not repeat the mistakes of some women who after the marriage lose their attraction.'

HmmConfused

'You can also have hobbies' - that's fucking generous.

Confused though - the housewife spends "all [her] day cleaning and tidying up" yet is also learning to cook, shag and plan birthdays. How is she doing this? Does she do 12 hours of cleaning and 12 hours of shagging-cooking-planning? I think we should be told!

I suppose one could multitask?!

so, basically you have to be a good cook, and a good shag.

I thought this was going to be 1950s article but it was written last year?? Is it a wind up?

ZZZenAgain · 05/01/2013 22:12

that's it.
Good in the kitchen, good in bed and good to look upon.

And you can also have hobbies if you like.

Maybe we should email the company and remind them that a) we don't live in the 1950's and b) the article is offensive?

tribpot · 05/01/2013 22:34

I'll have to ask my DH to find out if I'm allowed to send emails.

It has to be a wind-up.

Am i right in thinking it was man that wrote this? Looks like a man in the photo. Sounds like something dh would write. Hmm

Thank God I'm divorced, I can be as physically repulsive as I like. Which is just as well, really.

I emailed him earlier asking for a quote for a time machine to go back to the 50s he replied that he agreed it is a terrible article he should have vetted it, it will be removed.
