Did anyone else hear this remark on Heart Fm this morning?

I was flicking through radio channels this morning, and the presenter on Heart was talking about a pregnant celebrity ( I think una from the Saturday's.). Apparently she was pleased with her pregnancy boobs and was worried about losing them after the birth.
The presenter commented " oh she'll still have them, they'll just be found by her knees".
Is it me or is this horrible horrible horrible? Firstly I have perfectly good boobs after feeding 2 babies. Secondly does it imply you shouldn't breast feed? And mainly, how rude! When he gets old his balls will sag and his dick will shrivel but I'm not announcing that on national radio!
I've never posted in feminism before so hope this is the right place. What do you think I could do?

Completely horrible talkingnonsense. None of the moron's business and just a cheap nasty comment to make. Who was it BTW? I listen to Nick Ferrari on LBC in the mornings and as obnoxious as he is, I can't imagine even him saying anything that foul!

I don't know the presenters name, it was about 8.15 ISP the morning show. I'm sure someone else must have been shocked.

Was it Toby Anstis or is Heart regional? He's a bit of a jerk but I didn't think he'd be that low. Crap thing to say.

Unfortunately it is the right forum... Women's bodies as public property: to be appraised and discussed and mocked. Women's bodies as men's property: to be used and discarded when no longer 'fresh' -ie devoid of evidence of a man's 'use' such as pregnancy.
Doesn't surprise me one bit :(

I think you should e-mail him informing him that his balls will sag and his dick will shrivel, and would he like to mention that on the radio?

Grin

No, because it's pregnancy that makes your bobs sag, not breastfeeding. (no anecdotes please, I don't care what anyone's personal boobs are like)

I bet she'll look a hell of a lot better than him in 20 years time

Eleanor, I did inform my dh and dc1 who were in the car of said fact. I think heart is regional, I'm in Kent. It just seemed so horrid and snide and unnecessary. I might email and tell him so.
