Anyone watching Panorama?

It's nearly finished and I'm a bit disappointed with this programme. It's a big subject to try and cover in half an hour.

Anyone else watching?

Yes I'm watching. Agree - It covered a lot but not in enough detail. It used too many specific experiences rather than actually convincingly explaining the extent of the problem more globally.

I am amazed actually that in their shopping they said they did not find much, i could fill a skip with the crap i see everyday, that i meant to be okay with letting my girls wear

I was amazed that they kept showing overtly sexualised images - billboards, shop adverts, magazines etc - and yet these got no mention at all. Nor did music videos or lads mags.

All in all a bit pointless. And apparently as long as a 14 year old boy doesn't think he's being affected by looking at porn sites then everything's absolutely fine!

you don't notice the way things are cut until you actually put them on the child, so you could easily miss the 'sexy' shape of a pair of trousers or skimpiness of a top just by looking at it in the shop.

Tbh, I wouldn't bother watching it. It featured a few teenagers and then came to the conclusion that everything is fine and dandy.

I was quite looking forward to it and thought finally people are taking this seriously and I was so disappointed.
It felt like they weren't really taking the issue seriously and rushed through it without looking at things properly.

Also loving having you all on FB Grinand I am learning alot from you all

I was incredibly disappointed in how shallow it all was really. The sex health expert guy who said porn wasn't real and teens should be made aware of that. Very confusing.

LOL, that facebook thing went quite well didn't it?! SGM was great.

I hope this guy and his young cheerleader weren't good friends of yours - they may think you are no fun any more now you hang out with that weird crowd of loony femmos.

I work with the guy and the girl is actually my sister as you can tell we are very very different (she's the one that posts about counting down days till she's a "wifey")
