Why post this here?

Report
AnyFucker · 18/11/2010 22:53

why not ben ?

she picked up on Christie's comedy misogyny, when all around her just kept they gobs shut

fair play to her, that was a brave thing to do on national telly, to a (so-called) national hero

Good for her. His stuff was breathtakingly awful.

Why on earth wouldn't CM post this here, BTB?

AnyFucker · 18/11/2010 22:59

just because someone is "girly" and "ditzy",(fake or otherwise) doesn't mean she can't stand up for what she believes to be right, and I agree with her (and anyfucker).

Curiousmama · 19/11/2010 08:17

I'll post where I like thank you ben.

As for the ditzy stuff that's up to her. She can still have a brain. You don't have to wear fucking dungarees and spit to be a feminist you know?

What did she do?

Report
booyhoo · 19/11/2010 15:20

yes, what happened? i don't watch the jungle thing.

Report
booyhoo · 19/11/2010 15:21

i also don't think ditzy and feminist are mutually exlusive. clearly, stacey can do both.

AnyFucker · 19/11/2010 15:32

Linford Christie was spouting a load of "woman, know your place" bollocks and she pulled him up on it.

Everybody else just giggled nervously.

So, I think she did ok.

Angry at a group of adults giggling nervously at this sort of crap. you'd think they were in school and afraid of christie not being their friend anymore.

I was surprised actually at him. But that's one thing you can say about reality tv it gives you good insights (sometimes) into the human psyche.

Of course I only watch it because ds2 wants to Wink Have to make sure he's not hearing anything he wouldn't hear at home Blush Grin

She is really surprising: underneath her hugely self-effacing mannerisms she is quite strong and self-assured. Makes you wonder about how much pressure there must always have been on her to seem unassertive and unconfident.

And I was also struck by Jenny Eclair, not only being calm and authoritative with the nervous Dom Joly among all the beasties, but doing so much emotional work when four of them (three males and her) came together for the first time in the jungle. They all seemed a bit infantile against her calm copingness. Though I suspect her patience will run out quickly.

strong women, ya see

I like to see it myself

Christie just looked like a dick "it's a man's world" and "I can sleep with a hundred women, but if women do that I would judge them"

yuk

for a "ditzy" chick, Stacey showed him up

not in the most articulate way, but good enough to make him look like a dinosaur Smile

I didn't see it, but I like Stacey. Good on her.

Shame that Linford C is coming across as a twat, thiought he seemed a bit of a treasure in the first couple of episodes.

Is that McKeith woman still harping on?

Report
Eleison · 19/11/2010 17:22

G McK is awful. If it really is true that you are what you eat, I think they should be looking for the gnawed remains of Violet Elizabeth Bott in her rucksack.

Report
booyhoo · 19/11/2010 17:27

i saw a glimpse of it last night where G McK said something about a man putting water in the cooking because he had eaten worm the day before and she was a vegan!

Report
Eleison · 19/11/2010 17:29

Perhaps among all her other idiotic beliefs she endorses homeopathy, so that even an infinitesimally small shadow-residue of worm in water is as wormy as the real thing.

Report
booyhoo · 19/11/2010 17:32

i think she was worried about the worm still being i his saliva, which of course in a huge cooking pot of water would be super diluted.

I like her and think she is doing well in this. I saw her at Butlins last year and like her.

I hate Linford Christie and Gillian Mckeith. Gillian Mckeith is an embarssment to women, just get on with it woman!!

Stacey's singing round here soon. It's £25 for ticket with dinner yet £35 for Jedward!!! Shock I know there's 2 of them but come one Wink

She did it again, sticking up for playmate. Not saying it'd be my job of choice for a daughter but I wouldn't judge. Christie is such a fecking fossil though and very controlling by the sounds of it. My dad was too and it's not good.

Yeah well done for sticking up for Kayla and well done to Kayla for keeping her cool. Did you see all the others walk off when he was laying in to her? He was making a complete fool of himself.

Good on you Kayla and Stacey.
