I'll start. The tampon one from a few years ago where man & woman are sitting in an outside cafe, and she drops a pink wrapped min-tampon from her purse, and he hands it back to her thinking it's a sweet. FFS. If he doesn't yet know she menstruates, he's prob not ready for a sexual relationship.

Your turn..

The one with that grumpy pregnant caaah who makes her poor put upon hubby clean the oven. Lucky the oven cleaning product is so amazing he barely has to do anything at all.

howdidthishappenthen Mon 15-Nov-10 20:50:21

Name and shame the product pls smile

elsiepiddock Mon 15-Nov-10 20:50:44

The Maltesers ones with those two blithering idiot women

DramaInPyjamas Mon 15-Nov-10 20:50:46

The rollerskating babies one. Creepy.

Am sure there are more, just can't think right now.

ISNT Mon 15-Nov-10 20:52:21

Rustlers burgers (I think that's what they're called?) where the normal woman rotates on the sofa which he microwaves his burger and is transformed into a sex kitten.

howdidthishappenthen Mon 15-Nov-10 20:52:42

this one?

TmiEdward Mon 15-Nov-10 20:52:49

The one where that little shit cherub wants to go and take a dump at his mate Paul's house because Paul's bog smells nicer.

colditz Mon 15-Nov-10 20:55:00

The dettol adverts, that basically say

"YOu are a shit and shitty neglectful shitty mother if you don't disinfect your disgusting shitty hovel 3 times a day with Dettol, you dirty slut. LOOK at all the germs your children are surrounded by in your dirty house, just LOOK at it! Don't you love them? You don't act like you love them, you filthy bitch. Buy Dettol asnd maybe, just maybe, the social services won't take them away."

howdidthishappenthen Mon 15-Nov-10 20:55:05

Yup the Rustler's one's pretty offensive..

wukter Mon 15-Nov-10 20:59:06

Oh yes that Rustlers one. It was so incredibly blatant.
I can't remember the oven one. Oven Pride?

ISNT Mon 15-Nov-10 21:00:56

Oh some of the WKD ones.

There was one the other day and I said to DH "what's supposed to be funny? That bloke is an absolute bastard" I can't remember what it was though.

There is that one where the woman is in the bath and the bloke comes in with the paper for a shit... The idea is that he's showing his "wicked" side by being deliberately horrible to her, or at the least not giving a monkeys about her. And the viewers are being asked to identify with him confused

LoudRowdyDuck Mon 15-Nov-10 21:02:09

Oh, it's not TV but please? The beyond-parody awful one of the woman in her rubber gloves looking sadly at the pile of washing-up ... and below the same woman with a dishwasher, all happy to do whatever she wants - so now she's minding her daughter.

Right. Yes. Because among other things, the only the women aspire to other than housekeeping is childcare. hmm

Longtalljosie Mon 15-Nov-10 21:02:12

The one with the emotionally abusive polar bear in the freezer

sethstarkaddersmum Mon 15-Nov-10 21:02:24

the one where Andie McDowell talks about 'greys'. Grey whats? Parrots? Aliens? It's the creepy way they are deliberately trying to make us more insecure about grey hair by implying we are already so obsessed by it they don't even need to finish the phrase. Bastards.

TheFoosa Mon 15-Nov-10 21:02:44

no need for adverts now that Sky+ exists

wukter Mon 15-Nov-10 21:03:05

What was that one - it could've been WKD - where this guy meets a girl in a bar and tricks her into sleeping with him because the world's about to end. The ad ends with him and his mates smirking and high fiving one another.

SantasNutellaFairy Mon 15-Nov-10 21:03:40

"Have a Happy Period"

Fuckers. Was that Always?

Pogleswood Mon 15-Nov-10 21:04:04

I am hating at the moment that Knorr stock pot advert with the chef is making the gravy surrounded by a horde of admiring women, who have been making gravy all their lives but are now just going to have to admit that his manly gravy beats theirs and is just altogether fantastic. I hate it mutter,mutter...

ShanahansRevenge Mon 15-Nov-10 21:04:22

Cillit Bang...I HATE them ALL! Have complained to advertising standards about sexism and they said while they had had some complaints there were not enough to warrant action.

hmm

So it's ok to target WOMEN only in selling a cleaning product. Oh and the Iceland one..."That's why this Mum will NEVER go to Iceland"

Apart from the fact it sells a lot of shit.

LoudRowdyDuck Mon 15-Nov-10 21:06:15

Oh yes ... I did enjoy spending my formative years watching a woman advertise cheap shopping by slapping her bum and pouting at the camera. Ta Asda.

sethstarkaddersmum Mon 15-Nov-10 21:06:35

Pogleswood I haven't seen that one but I am sure it will make me seethe. Is it Marco Pierre White?

LoudRowdyDuck Mon 15-Nov-10 21:06:46

(Oh ok, I'll be honest, I hate that one because it's so crap, not because it's sexist.)

ISNT Mon 15-Nov-10 21:07:01

I quite like cillit bang adverts blush

Can I lodge a complaint about James may's new series while I'm at it? Thanks. The title, the premise, the content (OK I only watched 30 mins of the first one before I switched over), the whole thing is just atrociously sexist.

ISNT Mon 15-Nov-10 21:08:28

Yes it's marco pierre white.

As a vaguely related aside, I am interestedly watching gordon ramsey's unravelling.
