Fellow Mumsnet feminists, are you aware that....

....we now have personal messaging on MN?

You will see your inbox at the top of the screen next to the 'log out' button.

I am putting this here for the benefit of the people who don't go on the rest of the board much since they discovered this section Grin

It's gonna be useful for planning top-secret direct action type stuff we don't want the world to know about, innit?!

TBH I am afraid it will turn into a bit of a bitchfest.

Oh, that Wukter she's a bit simple eh?
Or Let's wind up Msrisotto & Seth, let's say x, y and z.

Report
sethstarkaddersmum · 21/09/2010 20:13

well cos it is the feminist section it will be 'Wukter is a bit of an essentialist'
'I don't think SethStarkaddersMum has read Andrea Dworkin properly'
'I have it on good authority that MsRisotto does all the nappy changing in her house. And she wears high heels.'

(not really).
actually my thinking is we can use it to summon reinforcements if a one of us is caught on a hostile part of the board fighting a desperate heroic battle single-handedly trying to fend off 100s of non-feminists who are insisting that men are no good at cleaning and women have it best in society these days.

When I get home from work I get incensed if DP is not there before me strewing rose petals in my path - doesn't everyone?

you mean sometimes he's not? Shock
Ditch the bastard and get yourself a proper man. One who treats you with the respect you deserve, is a gourmet cook and keeps house like Martha Stewart.

2 out of 3 ain't bad.

but isn't Martha Stewart a crook? Do you mean he hides sheaves of £20s under the bed?

SSM - did you choose the title specifically to scare everyone else off? :o

Actually people it would appear this messaging system has come too late.

Patriarchy is over - feminism is redundant.

I know 'cos a man told me so earlier today.

I'm just a teeny bit surprised none of us have noticed - I guess we have been brainwashed by those feminists.

fabbo Beachcomber, we should have no trouble recruiting waiters for our new chain of restaurants in which the male waitstaff wear revealing clothes and the female customers are encouraged to sexually harass them Smile (see recent posts on Hooters thread)

We could call it BUTT-ers.

I crack myself up, I really do

sethstarkaddersmum · 23/09/2010 20:54

we could cook everything in butter, and then it would all be yum. I would tell everyone I only eat there because of the food. (A few people have said that about Hooters, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.)

You have made an exhausted panicking pagan feminist laugh and realise there is More To Life, thank you, oh witty ones.

(have given up trans fat for butter and will smirk every time the butter dish appears on the table, but not in a Last Tango way!)

yes there must be scope for fun with the word 'cock'.
Of course Gallus - the parent company of Hooters, in the name of which they sometimes apply for their license so no-one twigs that they're Hooters - means cockerel in Latin. (They clearly have some tosser with a Classical education on their staff.)
