So I went into gyne for a smear as I'm being put forward for a lap and dye. I've had some problems with bleeding from urinary tract...possible endo that has spread to urinary tract bladder etc. Anyway I've always got this soreness in my vagina vulval area. Even intimacy is too much and I generally try to avoid but sometimes I bite my tounge. As of late even sitting down was painful. The gyne doc saw it and when she tried to do a smear I whinced and couldn't let her touch it. She said there is soreness and uneven texture ie bumps. I have urinary incontinence and she said it seems like somethi g to do with that. So she refrred me for the vulval clinic. Since then it's been sore and painful. I'm 38 so drove myself mad thinking about vulval cancer. I'm a hypochondriac and have never had a successful smear either. Now I'm starting to think if this could be caused my washing powder and softener and the fact I wear nylon undys. I will begin washing my undies in plain water and use only cotton. However is there anyone else who has had this? I'm petrified like I said of it being vulval cancer. However seeing doesnt burn as such and I dont itch, just sore.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully your appointment is soon and you'll get some answers.

For now I'd do whatever makes you the most comfortable. Like you say, cotton pants, avoid soap and anything perfumed down there, and no shaving.

Sound painful OP, but I think vulval cancer would be more obvious to the GP during an examination but totally get your anxiety. If you don’t mind me asking about your Urinary tract bleeding. I’m currently going through the same thing, being investigated for blood in my urine. Like you im a worrier and have totally convinced myself it’s kidney cancer. I’m sure it’s endo related (undiagnosed but convinced I have it) I just wondered what investigations you had? Was it a urologist that made the link to endo?x

Hello sorry for the late reply. Jumperoosue. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I have possible endometriosis which has spread to the bladder...or urethra. I am having a laproscopy donr and dye test. Of course the dye threat is fertility related. The lap is for endo. Yeah its painful and I'm reassured by the fact that the specialist could have seen cancer ASAP. I had to go private first ti get anyone to take note. My period was coming from my urinary tract evry month. In fact it still is and my urinary tract is always sore.

Yeah that's what I've done. Try to not wear underwear as much as I can. It's quite sore at times then it is ok. Thank you for replying.
