Lump, vulva?

I want to preface this by saying I am 100% genuine here and if you think I am trolling please please report and ask mumsnet to check it out. Also; be kind and remember we are not in AIBU

I noticed a lump today when I was wiping, I thought initially it was a gathering of torn toilet paper I was feeling but when I next went I felt it again so checked it out. It's a lump.

It's inside the labia, near the clitoris. I don't think it's a bartholin (?) cyst, I had a quick google about those because I have read about them often on here.

It just feels, well, lumpy. I can't really describe it. It's not sure but as I am sitting at my desk (working from home) I can definitely feel some pressure or difference in that left side area

Obviously the GP will be the first post of call, I can't actually call them this afternoon though, so I was just wondering if anyone wanted to share similar experiences - now I really do sound like I'm asking you all to divulge too much Blush

I'm worried, of course, and I know that none of you can diagnose my lump but if anyone has been through similar, how did that work out?

I found a lump there a few years ago, but was painful, just felt sore. I saw my GP and it wasn't anything sinister, a cyst I believe, and I had some medication (cream or tablets, can't remember) and it went. I'm sure you'll be fine, but always best to get it checked x

I had one last year. Googled (Blush) some sort of vein... Went after 2 weeks.

Thanks, I have tried to avoid google, deprive never having had any health anxiety in my life I have jumped to the worst case scenario here 🙄

It's good to hear the positive side.

@activitythree I found a lump here a few months back and was worried sick. Had some hot baths and held a hot compress to it 2-3 times a day and it disappeared in a week so it must have been a cyst!

I had a bartholin abscess a few years ago and it was very painful. Salt baths helped but i ended up getting it lanced at the hospital.

I've had this before, in fact the same thing twice in the same place. I gently (and I mean really gently) squeezed in the bath and it was just a spot. Do you have a handheld mirror you can take a look?

Thanks, I have had a compress on it this afternoon and having hot bath soon! I can't quite see it with a mirror, I'm too fat! I tried. Then I tried taking pictures of it with my phone but that didn't work either Blush

I am going to call the HP on Monday and see if I can get it looked at.

Same as PP, I had one in near enough the same place as you, it did eventually rear its ugly head to be a spot. It wasn’t nice and was painful after a few days but soon went x
