Itchy hard bump on labia

Bit embarrassing Blush but I have had a small lump/bump/spot on my labia majora for probably a couple of years now. Pea sized, quite itchy, not moveable, not growing and can’t be squeezed (I’ve tried!). It’s never bothered me until I started to google it so I got a bit worried, saw my GP who just prescribed a steroid cream and told me to come back if it doesn’t work. But I’m still worried about it.

Has anyone had anything like this before which turned out to be nothing? I’m thinking it’s probably just a cyst but it’s the fact I’ve had it for so long, is itchy and can’t be squeezed. I can’t help feeling it might be something sinister. I’m going to go back to my GP but it would really help me to hear some other experiences first. Thank you Smile

I have just found a pea sized lump under the skin inside the labia majora, no itching or pain at all and it moves about. Is yours under the skin or can you see it? When I've looked I can't see a head or anything and it's definitely under the skin, I can pinch it with 2 fingers!

Hi Fawn, yes it’s under the skin. I can pinch it too! I tried to squeeze it but all I did was make it red and sore so I’ve left it alone and it’s just gone back to how it was Hmm After a lot more googling I’ve decided it’s probably an epidermoid cyst - have a read and see if that matches your symptoms. So I’m going to try not to worry any more unless it’s gets any worse. Obvs see your doctor if it’s bothering you though.

Is it a Bartholin’s Cyst ?

@mummarunner yes I'm not even going to attempt to squeeze it, that's scares me 😳 Mines isn't bothering me it just freaked me out a bit when I noticed it, I've been doing sits baths just incase it might shrink! If it gets any bigger or becomes sore I will go to the GP.

Mines isn't bartholin as it's high up just next to the clitoris!

Hey! I had exactly what you described which actually kind of hurt to poke! I was super worried about it but it went away after around two weeks of leaving it alone so compared to you quite fast, it did turn out to be nothing in my situation, but was a pea sized red lump on my labia x
