If you've had one that's not burst but irritated you abit. What did you feel?

I have occasional stabbing pains. Niggles in my ovary on and off.

It twinges into the left side of my pelvis. Mild pain sometimes
in left side of groin.

Pressure in pelvis and back.

Just aware of the area and feel Abit rubbish.

Sounds similar to what mine felt like. It would coincide with missing my period, sometimes for several months, and then the cyst would burst, sometimes with quite a bit of pain if it twisted before bursting, and then I'd get a little bleed and then a new cycle including a period would start. They've never got big enough to require surgery.

@addler

I'm spotting on and off. Seem to spot when it's niggling.

I'm worried about it twisting or bursting. What happened in that situation?

Pretty much exactly as you describe plus very very irregular/non existent periods. Mine was a bone/hair/bodily stuff one, can’t remember the exact terminology. It was gross. I had it removed.

Sounds similar to some parts of endometriosis pain too.

Are they looking to remove it?

That's a Dermoid cyst. I've just had a full hysterectomy for Dermoid cysts on both ovaries and uterine fibroids. I had sharp pains, aching in my back, occasional skipped periods and nausea. The hysterectomy was for the impact the combination was having on my bladder and I was in the loo every 20 minutes on a bad day.

As mine weren't very big it just hurt a lot, the worst one I went to hospital as it was the first time and the pain was so bad I could hardly walk. They thought it might be appendicitis so kept me in for a couple of days trying to decide whether they'd operate or not, but then a transvaginal ultrasound showed some small cysts and some blood around my ovary which they said would have been a burst one. The pain subsided and I passed some brown blood, then a period came that month. Then after a few months it happened again, but not as bad. Sometimes I would just feel a big niggle and then sure enough would get a period not long after, compared to not having one for up to 9 months.

I am Pushing to be checked. Speaking to the Dr on Monday afternoon but not holding out much hope.

As my periods are regular it sounds unlikely then?

It's very left sided. Stabbing abit in the right side of my groin today too.

Been suffering with it for a month now but have had heavy periods for months. Scan in February showed nothing. But I've since tried to the mini pill??? That's when all my troubles began after stopping it six months ago.

I've mentioned endometriosis to the Dr but they refused referral u til my smears back. I am waiting for that to be returned.

I'm just frightened something could happen suddenly as I have kids.

Pink spotting has started today after twinges all morning.

I am really wondering what an earth it could be now.

I've read online vomiting is another symptom. I get mild nausea on some days but never vomit.

Any ideas?

I’ve just been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and a small fibroid. My symptoms that I put down to the cyst, are nausea, pelvic pain/ache (that could also be caused by the fibroid though) and I am exhausted too. Radiographer said my cyst is draining - does that mean it will go?!? Really hope so. I also had two full periods in one month which a what prompted the pelvic ultrasound scan that got me diagnosed.

i had a big demoid one that did twist and kill off my ovary, the pain that weekend was very bad (then died down and i had it removed 5 months later)

But before that, i often had pain that was a bit weird in that area. I didn't have periods (on depo injection) but not really like period pain, more like a good fart would sort it out (but that didn't help), lasted say a day or so.

now that could have just been 2 unrelated things. But i have not had it since.

I am always exhausted. Never energetic. But I get anemic from the heavy bleeds.

It's sounding likely isn't it. My nausea is mild and never results in vomitting. It's not daily either
