June 2018 had my first smear which came back cin 3

October 2018 had colonoscopy to remove cells

6 months check up in may 2019 came back irregular and HPV present still

October 2019 2nd colonoscopy came back HPV present but no abnormalities and was discharged to my GP for another 3 years

Just got a letter today for another check up with my GP I really hate going for these tests and when they do.tne colonoscopy it really messed with my cycle and TTC is there a need to go again so soon will I have to get tested every six-month from now on?

Its great that you get regular follow ups. CIN3 is quite severe changes so I'd be pushing for 6 month smears!

Keep attending, there is a lady on the cancer thread having treatment and its gruelling to say the least, keep going.

Are you a smoker?

Keep going. I had CIN3 at 24, had colposcopy but no treatment as the cells had righted themselves. On annual call back for 15 years until this feb when I received a letter to say that due to change in testing they were taking me off annual recall and my results showed I did not have HPV.

I often wonder about my results all those years ago, whether they were someone else’s? On my notes to this day it says I had laser treatment (I did not, I would remember that!) and the results from the colposcopy came back clear.

Either way though I would happily go every month if it meant I could prevent developing cancer that would take me away from my children.

I know everyone experience of a smear is different but I do implore you to go.

Thanks I know yous are right I suppose it is a good thing they are keeping an eye on it I just found the whole colposcopy experience tramatising and degrading by the time the results from the coloscooy come back it's nearly time for another six months smear just feels like a constant circle of dread

I dont smoke eat right exercise and have only been with my husband for the past 10 years I've tried everything to boost my immune system and get rid of it but hasn't seemed to work
