Hi, I'd like to try this for first time but my periods are irregular 22-27 days so do I start taking it on cd19 to cover myself? Seems very early. I don't get on at all with hormonal contraceptives, does this have big side effects?

It's called norethisterone.
I'm on it just now for irregular bleeding.
I've been on it for 9 days and the side effects have been awful. I can't believe people willingly take it.

Why do you want to take it?

I took it for years to regulate my periods. It was great. No side effects.

I didn't get on with the pill but I've taken this a couple of times and it wasn't too bad. Felt a bit bloated and PMT like and I probably bled a bit heavier than normal once I stopped taking it.

I've taken a couple of course of norethisterone. When I've had periods which have lasted up to a month.

I know some people have had awful side effects with it. But the only side effect I seem to have is very bizarre and vivid dreams
