As title says. 10 days late. Had my tubes removed 7mths ago and ds3 was born. I'm getting premenstrual pains but nothing else. I'm wondering is this the start of menopause. I'm 37

It's still possible to get pregnant without fallopian tubes. Thats what I was told after I had one of mine removed.

Call this a stupid question but how do you still have periods if you don’t have Fallopian tubes? Do they hot wire your ovaries to your womb??

Yes I think that's what happens 🤣

You still produce eggs I guess they move on down to the next part of the anatomy !

You still have periods because your Uterus gets ready to receive an egg. Even if you dont produce one. It’s hormone based. Your periods only stop when your body give off a pregnancy hormone - if your pregnant.

There is a minuscule chance that an egg floated down - through nothingness and sperm managed to get it at the nub of your tube - however it’s really unlikely.

I’ve had IVF through having my tubes removed.

Go and see your GP.

Unlikely but possible to become pregnant with no tubes.

Most tubes when they are removed are tied off at the end - a good surgeon should've removed most of the stump too - incredibly incredibly rare to get pregnant without tubes and it's a bit of an urban myth

I had both tubes removed due to ectopic pregnancies and as I'm undergoing IVF am tracking periods and ovulation - this month I've ovulated 9 days later than usual and period will therefore be similarly late
