Abdominal pain

Hi all, looking for suggestions/ideas as to what can be causing my pain!! I had my second baby in July. About 4 weeks after he was born I got mastitis and had to go on antibiotics. I stopped breast feeding a couple of weeks after that. Not long after this I started getting stomach aches later in the evening. They started becoming more regular so I went to the gp. They gave me pills for stomach acid. I started taking them but they did nothing. When I got the pain every night of the week I went back to the gp. They sent me for 5 blood tests to test for coeliac disease, liver function, kidney function etc. I also did a stool sample although I'm not 100% sure what that was testing for. I went for ultrasound scans of the abdomen and abdominal wall. They showed I had a hernia, which I had repaired in January. However, my issues still persist. I've since had further scans to check the gallbladder but this all looks fine. I now waiting to see the consultant again. He didn't have an abundance of ideas last time I saw him so at the moment it's a case of elimination.

Since the initial stomach aches, they've become more painful and have stopped me sleeping. I can't pinpoint where the pain is coming from, it's just pretty central. I get vomiting too but not every time. Generally it seems to come on within an hour of eating my evening meal but sometimes comes on pretty instantly after dinner or a larger lunch. I've been 2 weeks with no stomach aches and not doing anything differently to then having them for 3 nights in a row. They last for 8 hours at a time.

I've been taking probiotics as thought the antibiotics might have knocked something out of balance but they've had no positive effect.

Has anyone got any suggestions on what to get checked for please? It's really starting to get me down.

Sorry to hear your pain OP

I suggest you go back to GP and demand some answers.

I feel your pain as I have really bad bloating that stops me from eating. I only eat one meal a day and have lost loads of weight. Scans haven't shown anything. So I'm lost.
