So I have to have a breast cancer screening done. It's been explained to me that I may need to have one of all of the 3 tests, (Mammogram, biopsy, ultrasound)
And I am absolutely petrified. So far I've found the worst part of this process is the waiting and the unknown part. The fact I had to wait a month to get an appointment with the GP to discuss my concerns, then another 4 week wait for a follow up appointment. Now a 2 week wait for my scans then possibly another 2 weeks after that for my results. Its almost unbearable to deal with the unknown during all of this.
Has anyone had any breast cancer screenings and if so did the doctor give any insight on the day of what they have found? Or do they say nothing and you just wait for a letter in the post or a phone call from your doctor weeks later? I've never been through this before and not that close to people who have been through it that I feel comfortable talking about it with. Thanks
