Lump on labia

Itchyhead2020 · 04/02/2020 19:12

For the last 18 months I've had a small hard lump on my labia, the last few days it's gotten a little bigger so I tried squeezing it and a tiny tiny tiny amount of white came out. Now it's red and sore. Any suggestions on getting rid of this?

It's probably a Bartholin's cyst: www.nhs.uk/conditions/bartholins-cyst/

I get lumps from time to time. If you squeeze them you either get a joyous result (I'm a sporner) or you can aggravate them and cause an infection. My unofficial non medically trained advice would be to have a hot bath and see if you can get anything else out, or if in doubt see your nurse practioner.

I don't think it's a bartholin cyst looking at Google, as the glands look farther back than where my lump is.

@Northernsoullover I want to attack it with a sharp blade- I watch way too much pimple popper. I was even contemplating opening up a razor to use one of those blades but I think that would end badly!

Grin the hot bath then! Let us know (in graphic detail please) if anything happens.

Is it near a hair follicle? I get those occasionally and they tend to go after a couple of days of having hot baths rather than showers.

@Northernsoullover I foolishly squeezed it in the shower instead of in front of a mirror and missed everything! When washing the lump felt way bigger and I gave it a small squeeze and felt a pop and lots of stuff came out. Kept squeezing and felt more popping and more white stuff came out. Stupid fat stomach was in the way so I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked! Hopefully got it all but I probably didn't
