Bleeding on nexplanon

So the last few days I've experienced bleeding but only when I've gone to the toilet and wipes and seen in the toilet bowl (sorry tmi). Barely bleeding on pads and I've got symptoms of a UTI so I'm super confused! Does this seem more like blood in urine or a period? This is the first time I've bled in 2 months since getting the nexplanon arm implant. Any help appreciated!

Apparently they've changed the 'formula' of nexplanon and more women are experiencing bleeds. Mine were light but annoying and frequent. Doc put me on the mini pill as well and it stopped.

@iklboo but does the bleeding hurt a lot? Mid back? I've never had painful periods 😭

I was crampy more than back pain. Maybe have a chat with your GP or practice nurse to put your mind at rest?

I'm on my second round of Nexplanon (3rd implant after Implanon) and although my period is infrequent and shorter - i'd day 4-5x a year - they are definitely more painful than they were before in terms of cramping.

Speak to your GP/nurse and they can keep an eye and advise you of the best plan of action. Might be worth keeping a brief note of frequency, pain and length as they will ask about this.

It was/is definitely around my uterus in my case - very strong cramping, bloating and diarrhoea the first 2 days every time.
