Painful sex 11 weeks post partum

Dh and I finally tried to have sex last night and it felt like a burning sensation, really unpleasant. I was keen and 'ready' and he wasn't rough. I had a planned c section, and we didn't have much sex at all during pregnancy as i completely lost my libido. What could it be? Will it get better? Any others experienced this?

I found sex very painful for about 6 months afterwards, but I had episitomy and stitches... not really sure why it's happening after a c-section. Possibly the weight of baby was putting pressure down there. The only thing that helped was time for us

You are probably quite dry due to hormonal changes, particularly if you are breastfeeding.
