Anyone else on a waiting list for a hysterectomy?

Been on the waiting list since April for a total hysterectomy.
I've been told I'm looking at November sometime. So provisionally told work, gave my place up on a womens only family annual mini break that happens every November, and basically kept November free.
Just rang the woman who deals with the waiting lists to be told I've now been bumped down the list to December. Just feel a bit disheartened and wondered if there were others in the same boat.

Hi, I've just had one. Mine was urgent due to cancer so I didn't really wait at all.
Why don't you come over and join us on the hysterectomy thread?
People over there may know more about wait lists.
