Hi there,
I know this isn't somewhere to ask for medical advice but I am being seen to via gynaecologist tomorrow.
I just wondered if anyone has any experience with raised CA-125 levels. Mine are 56 so a little on the high side.
Symptoms
A few weeks ago over the last bank holiday weekend at the end of May I was in a lot of pain. It was a strong dull ache which was affecting my lower abdomen, neck, chest, shoulder and arms and down my legs. The pain wasn't in any place in particular but it kind of radiated round my body.
After speaking to NHS 111 they sent an ambulance because the pain was mainly on my legs side that day and they were worried incase something was wrong with my heart. All obs were ok so I didn't need to go in.
I then went to my GP who sent me for blood tests (a full MOT what I like to call it) the results showed the inflammatory marker was elevated and the enzymes or something from my liver were too. I was then sent for more bloods including a full liver screening. Liver was fine but it showed my CA-125 levels were high and I was told I could have a possible problem with my ovaries. I was referred urgently to a gynaecologist and my appointment is tomorrow morning.
I have been stupid and googled this and I'm terrified now. I'm 28 and all I'm worried about is if it could be something sinister.
Does anyone have any experience on this whether it was a good or a bad outcome?
