Smear test anxiety! Please help

Had a smear today and the nurse said my cervix bled quite a lot during it. She thinks I might have to go back for a repeat test if the lab can’t get the results from the swab.
It’s 30 mins later and I just have incredibly light spotting now (none on the sanitary pad but a faint smear of blood whenever I wipe. Sorry TMI).
I’ve never bled during a smear before so I’m freaking out (I suffer with bad health anxiety).
I had an abnormal smear a few years ago and had a biopsy and the wire loop procedure thing to remove CIN2 cells. My smear after that was normal.
Can anyone please calm my worries as I feel sick :-(

I had this a couple of weeks ago. I came out and cried my eyes out. Nurse said I had cervical ectopian. I googled it and been worried ever since. It has been 2 weeks and not had any results so I'm thinking maybe that's a good thing as they would have been in touch but nurse did say may have to repeat again. I can't relax until I get the results saying all okay. I already have health anxiety and this has just made it worse.
Try not to worry, I know it is easier said.

I had my smear on Wednesday and was advised I have a ectropion cervix which is why I bled during and afterwards. It's nothing to worry about apparently. It is quite common and most likely mine is because I am birth control.

I bled after my first smear, results were normal. I bled after my second smear a few months back and the results were HPv negative (they HPv test first where I live). I think some people just have a delicate cervix!

I bled with mine in 2016. Came back fine and didn't even have to repeat it in the end.

Have had this lots in the past and was told it was common if you were on the contraceptive pill.

I did have to have repeats but that was because the blood made it impossible to see the cells.

Hi I have bled during smears as have retroverted uterus and nurses and doctors have been rough in getting samples from me. Find these tests too painful.and cervix has got tighter and has slipped further behind bladder which frustrstes my doctor and nurse. My results keep coming back inadequate or they can't get enough cells. Been referred to have it done under General anaesthetic and waiting for date.

Hi i had my gynae procedure and pap smear last week under GA. Have cervical ectropian which explains bleeding. They did colposcopy as well and took samples. Waiting for results and anxious.
