Is this normal?

I've had three caesareans and my periods have got heavier after each one. The youngest is now 18months. I'm on day 10 of my period and I'm starting to cramp now. I feel tired, hungry, have a headache and I'm thoroughly miserable. I've run out of clean trousers because I leak through pads and tampons within an hour. I'm constantly thinking about it.

Is this normal or should I go to see my GP? Is he just going to tell me it's my age? I'm 37. Do I need to find a better way of coping? I'm fed up.

I had a baby 6 months ago and I had first and second degree tears.
The midwife numbed the area after I had baby and put stitches. I was told they will dissolve.
Anyway I am stupidly didn’t yet go for my ) week cheek and. I am pretty sure I am very lose don’t there and feel some of the stitches might have come undone. I think they might haveto re stitch.

Hi anyone we had this and what happened? How was it fixed and was you put to sleep. I was just wondering how they sew it back together if it’s been left so long.

I would definitely mention it to your doctor, I have heavy periods bit they don't last anywhere near that long, if it was me I would get it checked even if it's just for you're peace of mind

If you’re bleeding that long and heavily, OP, you could become anaemic. Definitely see your GP. There are drugs that can reduce the loss, or procedures such as endometrial ablation that reduce it to almost nothing. You need to discuss your options.

Your stitches would have dissolved by now, I had a fourth degree tear and needed basically rebuilt down there, the external stitches were dissolvable but the stitches to my sphincter (hate that word) and surrounding area were not dissolvable and did fall away, is it perhaps these which you have felt? They are black.
It has only been 6 months it's going to feel strange for a while, I still feel different down there and it's been 4 years.
If however you are having issues with incontinence then I would definitely speak to either your hv or doctor.

Thanks @babdoc. I saw the Gp today and I've got some mefenamic acid to stop the bleeding. And some iron- it's pretty obvious by looking at me that I'm anaemic. There was no discussion about why though. Just that it could be my age.

Caesarean sections can increase your risk of adenomyosis. I think it would be reasonable to ask for a gynaecology referral and/or transvaginal scan.
