Endometriosis surgeries

If you have endometriosis how many surgery's have you had for it?
I have had a date for February to have a third laparoscopy and although that's good it's got me feeling really down. Me and my husband have agreed to start trying for a family in around 2 years and I'm just looking for any positive stories on trying to concieve with endo/after multiple laps? I feel like maybe I should be delaying my surgery but honestly I can't put up with these symptoms for another 2 years, any experiences would be great to hear thank you!

Hi I've had 4 opps and have 2 children. I have had endo since being 14 years old and now 27. Took me a while to conceive my 1st but not long for the second. Best wishes x

Hi, I had 8 or 9 laparoscopies for Endo (lost count) between 2005-2013. I became pregnant with my DC1 less than 3 months after my last operation in 2013, and was pregnant again with DC2 very quickly. Wishing you the best for your operation and future plans.

Hi I had two laparoscopies after I was diagnosed when ttc a second Dc.
I had virtually no symptoms when on Cerazette so it may be worth trying that until you're ready to ttc.

I've had two. I started trying to TTC a few months after #2, and it took 10 months. Dc#2 was conceived when dc#1 was 10 months old, after trying for one month and with no further surgeries.

I’ve have 2 laps, and it took me 8 years to get pregnant (ultimately we had to do lots of IVF).

Is there a specific reason you want to wait 2 years? Being completely honest now both my husband and I have said that if we knew then what we knew now we would have started trying the day we met rather than waiting for things to be right.

If you adamantly don’t want children yet then maybe have a chat with your Dr about using something like zolodex/depo/continuous pills to try and hold back the endo.

Sorry if thats not a popular view: my opinion is negatively affected by my experience!
