Bleeding before period

Absolutely zero chance of pregnancy

Sorry if tmi

Normally my periods are like clockwork, every 28 days lasting 5 days

It's 7 days until I'm next due but I'm bleeding bright red, not excessively but more then just when I wipe. Much brighter then the colour of my usual period. I do have stomach pain accompanied with this but doesn't feel like the 'dragging' pain I've experienced with every period in my life.

Any ideas anyone?please?

It's probably just a variation on your cycle.

Most women are not regular forever. So although you have had a spot-on 28 day cycle for a long time, it will eventually change, maybe now and then, maybe longer term.

I had long cycles of around 32 days for years then as I got into my late 30s, they got shorter to 28 ish, then near menopause could be 26.

It's really important not to get worried about these slight variations because so much can disrupt a cycle- late nights, stress, all kinds of things and it's rarely serious.

If it carries on for months- ie a 3-week cycle- see your GP but the rule they go by is keep a record for 6 months first, unless you have other changes like pain or really heavy bleeding.
