My neighbour has a parrot.. i've never seen the thing but it skawlks every 5 seconds or so from 7 am untill 11pm.

Its not loud but it's anoying, it's like living in an aviary.

Would you complain given that it's not loud really or should i just put up with it even though it is constant.

I have NO idea how she lives with it in her kitchen.

Is Skwalks even a word ?

I think you mean squawk.
Is the parrot new? Perhaps it's unsettled by moving and will be quieter in time?
I wouldn't complain unless I thought the parrot was being neglected. After all it is quiet overnight. Perhaps it needs more attention?

my dad had a parrot that you could hear from bloody miles around
it was one of the reasons i said yes when DH asked me to marry him wink
it meant I could go and live in another county, away from the damn bird
I think you should complain, it's no different to a barking dog.

My friend has parrots, very noisy! She says they need 12 hours sleep a day to mimic the tropical day night hours . Hers go to bed 9pm by covering the cages and wake at 9am when cages are uncovered.

I would ask nicely if they would consider this as the noise is unreasonable. If they object get the council involved. They will moniter the noise.
