My mother is staying in a Duplex suite in the Shangri La, Paris. My son is 2.5 and loves his Grandmother, I trust her fully, but is this trip too much for a toddler? Will the staff at the hotel be patient enough? Thoughts

Would a 2.5 yr old appreciate Paris?

SirChenjin Fri 08-Jan-16 22:40:27

What is the purpose of the trip? How mobile is your mum and how capable is she of looking after a 2.5 year old?

SKLily Fri 08-Jan-16 22:43:51

Sir My mum is a fit 46 year old and I'm sure she can handle it. The trip is for only 4-5 days but it would be nice for him to see Paris and play around!

Will that give you a chance to go to the GP about your morning tiredness?

timelytess Fri 08-Jan-16 22:47:23

Why take a baby from his mother?

Nottodaythanks1 Fri 08-Jan-16 22:47:28

You're not very busy today are you?

SirChenjin Fri 08-Jan-16 22:50:52

Hang on - how many children do you have exactly? On another thread you have a school aged child you want nanny to do the school run for because you can't get organised enough, a 4 month old, and now you appear to have a 2.5 year old as well - and you're only 23?

My BS radar is picking you up loud and clear OP. Is there nothing good on the telly?

SavoyCabbage Fri 08-Jan-16 22:55:13

You definitely should. I can't believe he has t been already to be honest. Can she not take the others as well as then you can get some kip.

Monty27 Fri 08-Jan-16 22:57:50

Paris, pourquoi? He's hardly going to remember it, but then if you need a break, and he comes back exhausted it may not be worth it.

Your DM is younger than me.

She'll be fine.

Have you ever really met a 2.5yo?

You need Honeymom's wise counsel again.

Well between you and your mother you must know a good amount about hotels, so I'm sure she'll have chosen somewhere that's suitable.

dogvcatcat Fri 08-Jan-16 23:10:42

Oh hi OP smile

RudeElf Fri 08-Jan-16 23:13:25

Will the staff at the hotel be patient enough?

confused why? What do you expect your son to be doing to the staff?

RudeElf Fri 08-Jan-16 23:14:53

Oh hang on, do you mean the hotel staff or is your mum taking along an army of your own house staff? Nanny, cook, chief arse wiper?

user7755 Fri 08-Jan-16 23:16:52

Thought we'd established that she had a 2 1/2 year old and 4 month old. School turned out to be nursery.

dogvcatcat Fri 08-Jan-16 23:17:33

Will your nanny be going too? Will he be flying by private jet?

fidel1ne Fri 08-Jan-16 23:24:11

Which parts of Paris do you particularly want your 2 year old to see?

SKLily Fri 08-Jan-16 23:25:21

Sir my previous thread stated I had a 2.5 year old boy and 4 month daughter. Not sure how that's changed in this thread??
