Shall I get a curry in?

Kids are fed and in bed.
DH has gone out with workmates for a curry and won't be back until late.
I could have salad with beetroot & walnuts for my dinner. Or I could call the takeaway shop two roads down and get myself a curry.

Tis obvious.
But you know that anyway...

Curry! I am. grin

(What Would You Order?)

IslaValargeone Thu 05-Dec-13 19:57:56

Madras or Sri lankan.

How hungry are you?

I would get a curry if I were genuinely very hungry but if not particularly then I would earn a thousand extra brownie/smug points by having the salad.

How would that earn the op smug points?
Curry curry curry!

Christ, yes. I can't think of an occasion where the answer to that question should be "no".

Though I'd like to add that it definitely needs to be a curry. I gave in to the takeaway urge the other day but through laziness I ordered a Papa John's pizza as you can do it online. I ordered their Festive Special pizza.

It wasn't festive. It was, however, somewhat 'special'...

Well, I didn't have lunch because I was at work, but did pick at the children's tea. So not ravenous, but quite hungry.
I might order something really nutty as DH is allergic so I only get nutty food when he's out.

Oh! Chinese food! Kung Pao chicken! Mmmm!

I'm totally going to end up with minestrone cup a soup & toast

Of course you should support your local independent business in this manner.

Good thinking DevonCiderPunk!

I have just supported Walker's in a similar manner.

If you want something nutty then you must get Chinese.

If you want curry then get saag paneer, peshwari naan, lamb bhuna.

Or Thai food. Yum.

It's here!
Ordered online so I've got dinner without moving off the sofa (except to the front door!) I have a mahoosive plate of chicken korma, onion rice, saag paneer, onion bahjis, peshwari naan and 2 poppadoms for under £12!

fenvy Bargain! Where do you live?

We had saag paneer, chicken korma, chicken dopiaza, pilau rice, and 2 poppadoms for £16.

JanetAndRoy Thu 05-Dec-13 20:55:52

SE coast

I'm on the South Coast. £12 is so cheap.
