God I would love to be Elizabeth Bennet but think it would mean hiring stuff and want to avoid that.

I don't have any kind of nightgown and really couldn't wear one anyway, as is a secondary school. Did see a v Lady M-ish one in Past Times though!

Yes, even if you're a teacher dressing up in front of teenagers you still want to look mildly attractive I think but hard to think of heroines who are not girlish.
