He does indeed, but he's not skinny enough to play Henry

<<joins jem in excited squeal>>

Oh i'm not sure he's right as henry for me though. Henry is much leaner..yep definitely
<<knods knowingly>>

Is that the girl from The Notebook?

Flamesparrow Sun 26-Jul-09 20:37:04

Oooh that really works for me Wasn't sure it would

Hassled Sun 26-Jul-09 20:38:01

Ooooooh!

I sort of welled up a bit just watching the trailer and knowing how sad the story is <must get a grip on hormones>.

FritesMenthe Sun 26-Jul-09 20:38:15

<excited>

EccentricaGallumbits Sun 26-Jul-09 20:41:33

my favourite ever book. they better not spoil it. or else

TrillianAstra Sun 26-Jul-09 20:47:57

Wanna see wanna see!

<haven't seen potter yet>

twinmam Sun 26-Jul-09 21:01:00

Me too Hassled on the welling up bit - and no hormones to blame. Well, not no hormones obviously. It was that bit at the museum that did it blush One of the most beautiful books ever. Not sure if I can bear to go and see it not only because of potential spoiling but also because it's just so heartbreaking.

thedolly Sun 26-Jul-09 21:03:05

Looks great, I didn't even know they'd made a movie.

Yurtgirl Sun 26-Jul-09 21:04:13

I loved (most of) the book too
I didnt know a film was on its way

bluejeans Sun 26-Jul-09 21:07:47

Hmmm to American cheesy - esp Claire as a child imo, way to cute and bratty!

I won't be able to stop myself going to see it though

Must re-re-read the book first!

Yurtgirl Sun 26-Jul-09 21:15:16

Yuk yuk - I have just seen the trailer and have seen all I want/need to see as even that was nauseating - I prefer the book

I did enjoy TTW but have recently read The Island by Victoria Hislop and enjoyed that more

One question I recognise the girl who plays their daughter but cant remember where from......... argh! Does anyone know?

stainesmassif Sun 26-Jul-09 21:15:40

i couldn't bear to see it as a movie. especially the bit at the museum - was bad enough sobbing in the privacy of my own bedroom - i don't need to do it in my local odeon!

twinmam Sun 26-Jul-09 21:18:01

Oh no - how can you say the Island is better?! Shame on you Yurtgirl! Kinda see where you're coming from tho re trailer but although the characters looked a bit off (I guess they always do in films) I thought the backdrop looked exactly right IYSWIM. With you on Clare as a child Bluejeans - those ringlets! Not sure where/ if I've seen her before though...

TrillianAstra Sun 26-Jul-09 21:19:54

They show that they do manage to have a child. So not right. Should be tense and worrying.

MrsMcCluskey Sun 26-Jul-09 21:20:53

I cried at the book so will be a wreck at the movie
Had a lump in my throat watching the trailer.
Will def go see it.
Might re read the book first as been a while>
