Book written by female surgeon..write up in Observer few Sundays ago..

I read an interview with the author in Observer few Sundays ago and the book looked good, have since thrown out paper and can't track it down - can anyone help. It was written by a female surgeon about her struggle in male environment and how she had children and made a decision to jump off career ladder. Think it was loosley based on her real life. Any ideas?
