Dhgot a fantastic email where the boot is on the other foot; people wrote back to these wrongly deposed despots agreeing to help but needing proof that they were genuine, and asking them to send a picture holding the day's paper and a fish on their head just to provide good faith... can't find it but it was very very amusing

The Nigerian strongbox/funds transfer thing is so continuous and widespread that apparently it has led to workplace discrimination against accountancy professionals of Nigerian origin - people not shortlisting them etc

I heard something on the radio yesterday about Nigerians aged 18-30 being refused visas to come to the UK? Didn't catch any details though.

I think that is more to do with queues out the door at the British Embassy in Lagos, but still feel concerned about it...

They don't have much say, really - it's all work related. Did they have to drug and truss your mum to get her on the plane?

no not at all she goes all over the place, my dad was very nervous working up to it but he loved it in the end
