Did you ever see "The Ultimate Alphabet"? I forget who it was by but it likewise had a painting for each letter of the alphabet and a competition to see how many things in each painting you could spot beginning with that letter. Brilliant.

We ordered the I Spy Shapes in Art from the library for ds2 after it was shortlisted for the Blue Peter prize. He loved it! and now wants to go to New York to see a particular picture in the gallery there!

Lucy Micklethwait is brilliant and deserves to be better known. Ds and dd have pored over her Child's Book of Art since they were weeny - ds has been "doing" van Gogh so took it in for show'n'tell & school had never seen it.

It looks good. Another one for the wish list.

DS1 brought this home from the school library a few weeks ago. I thought it was great and searched for all the letters, but he was a bit ho-hum!
