I loved the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant books when I was younger.
I enjoyed that it was someone from this world being transported to another.
I’m looking for something similar and hoping there are books that people can recommend to me where the hero/heroine is transported to other worlds.

Steven King’s Dark Tower series features a lot of people transported from our New York to a fantasy plane. Only dabbled in it myself but a lot of people adore it.

A more popular genre is Urban Fantasy where a normal person finds that there is a secret magical aspect to our world unknown to everybody else. There’s heaps of it out there, but Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, Anansi Boys and Neverwhere, or Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London series are good.

I loved Thomas Covenant too, although I haven't read the more recent trilogy. Never really read any other fantasy, so thanks for the ideas Smile
