(17 Posts)I’m going to order a ton of books to see us all through isolation. My local bookshop is closed for all orders so I had intended to use Amazon, unless anyone can recommend an I die bookshop currently open to online orders?
There is a lovely, albeit small, bookshop in London called word on the water (it is on a barge near King's Cross) I know they have a website although I suspect choice might be limited due to their size. https://wordonthewater.squarespace.com/
This is one of my favourites.
Don't! Just seen that the link doesn't seem to work. You can find them on Facebook though.

It’s a not for profit feminist womens co operative. Highly recommend them lovely staff.
P&G Wells in Winchester. Free doorstep delivery for orders over £30. Otherwise, it’s mail order. www.bookwells.co.uk/ Hope link works - am on my phone!
I should have said free doorstep delivery for local orders for P&G Wells!
Try hive books - they will let you know which independents near you are open/delivering/available for collection
I think Hive are having some issues at the moment so they’re suggesting people buy through Simon from Big Green Books. I’ve bought plenty from him before he he’s fab.
Oh! I didn't know that - shame.
Our local bookshop is delivering but only locally.
Where are you approximately OP?
Thanks everyone.
I’m in East Berkshire @highlandcoo
This account retweets lots of indie bookshops and is worth a follow

Have a look at their feed for an idea of who is still open and who has closed
Ah no good unfortunately B.B. I’m in the northwest.
Good link Keith

They also do 'buy a stranger a book' every week which is lovely.
If you go to
www.booksellers.org.uk/bookshopsearch
you can check out which bookshops are in your area and whether they’re delivering or not.
