(8 Posts)I’m a huge fan of the series and quite excited to see it coming to tv - but i find her books so good as they really get under the skin of the characters and wonder if it will work in screen.
So this drama will cover the first two books, Into the Woods and The Likeness.
So hoping that the BBC will film the others in the series and follow the convention used by Tana French in dropping one major character but 'promoting' the other, to be supported by a new detective.
(My favourite was Broken Harbour - that might be difficult to film as a lot of the action takes place in the dead of night.)
@rosegoldwatcher that was my favourite too - but again it’s so psychological I wonder how you’d get it across...
My favourite too! I’m so excited to watch it!
Really enjoying the series and didn’t realise it was based on those books. Is it worth reading the first two books before continuing with the rest of them. In other words is there a lot more in the books that should be discovered?
Really good series. I will read the books afterwards. I think I had the author mixed up with another author which put me off trying the books earlier.
I’d read them now- I’ve read them and it’s not spoiling it for me at all. I’m absolutely obsessed with the tv show!
Ive watched the first on the player. I read in to the woods years ago. I remember enjoying it but cant remember who killed who or why!
