Help me find this book please!

I’m driving myself mad trying to remember a book, and would love some help.

I thought it was called The tiger hunter or The hunter’s wife, but clearly isn’t!

From what I can remember, it was set in India, spanning decades, there is a daughter of some sort of royalty, she is betrothed to one man, but then the tiger hunter arrives and she falls in love with him.

I think she might’ve got pregnant, and then her reputation is ruined.

I feel like the book is then her betrothed trying to find the tiger hunter for revenge.

I did think it was from a Richard and Judy book club list, but I’ve checked those and it’s not on there, also searched my amazon history - I’m beginning to think I imagined it!

Does anyone recognise this book?

It sounds a bit like The Tiger's Wife by Téa Obreht, though not all of your memories fit!

I found it! Tiger Hills by Sarita Mandanna - very tempted to buy it and read it again, to see if it’s as good as I remembered.
