Are you going to avoid the internet, tv and newspapaers until you have read it or brave it anyway?

about four days after HBP came out DP said someone hung a sheet over one of the bridges on the M4 saying 'Dumbledore Dies'.

I would be heartbroken to find out some wondrful end twist before I got there naturally.

Am I silly to be giving this so much thoguht?

Stay in 'til you've finished it and don't turn the tv on!

I'm planning to read it on the Saturday for exactly this reason, haven't quite managed to break it to dh that he will be in charge of dc for the whole day, particularly as he is stomping around like a bear with a sore head this weekend

I have built a nuclear-style bunker under the sink.
I have filled it with tins of coke and jam sandwiches.
I have some expanding foam to put into my ears.
I will be rewiring the door bell so that anyone who presses it is instantly electrocuted.
I will blindfold myself between leaving home and going to the shop and back which will make driving interesting.
I have written on a piece of paper HERE'S YOUR MONEY GIVE ME THE HARRY POTTER BOOK to wave at at the cashier.

Will that be enough?

I intend to do what I did last time, buy the book at midnight and stay up all night reading it. By the middle of Sat at the latest I'll be done

I have the book on order through play.com. But I am out all day on the 21st and it is DH's birthday on the 22nd. We have friends round for the weekend. I would ideally like to keep th book for my holiday, starting the Saturday after - but have no idea how to avoid all the spoilers!

I'll be getting it from Amazon on Saturday am [hopefully!] so should have it finished by Saturday evening. Until then, no MN, no tv, no newspapers, nothing!

Oh & BBBBasilisk, somebody else also (apparently) came out of a shop after buying HBP at midnight & yelled out who killed whom!
