Suggestions for book club - funny or uplifting

Anyone read anything that could broadly be described as funny/ uplifting? My turn to choose for book group next month and we have had a load of fairly hard going books of late. We've read the Adam Kay medic book and liked that . Any suggestions very welcome

What age are you all? Bookworm by Lucy Mangan would be a great lighthearted choice for a bookclub if the members are around the right age (say late 30s-early 50s) that there's enough of an overlap in childhood reading.
Alternatively I know after some heavy reads my mum's book club took a month where they all re-read a favourite book from their childhood (so ie different books) and then talked about it.

I'm 55 and the youngest - rest are 55 to 60 ish but young in outlook. I havr read some Lucy mangan before I think so will have a look - thanks sadiq

We just read Murder Must Advertise by Dorothy Sayers which is funny.

Maria Semple makes me laugh - loved Where'd You Go Bernadette? I also love Kate Atkinson's humour.

The Van by Roddy Doyle. I really do urge everyone to read this book.

I would recommend The Snapper by Roddy Doyle. I love his books, but this is my go to uplifting and funny book.

I liked A Man Called Ove also, but it's not to everyone's taste.
Magnus Mills I also find v funny too.
Or Jasper Fforde.

We read "A boy made of blocks", it was really insightful and uplifting.

I really liked "Still Alice", surprisingly uplifting at the end, much more so than the film.
