(12 Posts)That feeling when you start a book and it's one you really look forward to reading...ahhhhhh can't wait to go to bed tonight to escape.
I'm reading Lucy Clarke's latest You Let Me In after seeing it high in the charts on amazon and for 99p.
Finished Gillespie and I last week and had a bit of a book hangover and this is the perfect easy read! All week I have been stalling starting a new book.
I really enjoyed The Sea Sisters by the same author- a big recommendation.
Just finished The Boy At The Top of the Mountain by John Boyne. Reading When Breath Beecomes Air, it's going to be a tough read, but I am enjoying it.
For something lighter. Man At the Helm by Nina Stibbe.
Just bought You let Me In!
I've got all those books in my stash 😬
Either paperback/audible/kindle - started when breath becomes air but it seemed too heavy for my mood.
You let me in is a really easy read but good !
Just finished Pachinko by Min Jin Lee - which I liked, but a bit slow. Now just started the five people you meet in heaven. S'ok.
I'm reading Electric Brae by Andrew Greig and am really enjoying it, I'm one third through and it's one of my favourite reads this year. It's been sitting unread on my bookshelf for years and years and then I picked it up last night and began reading and thought 'but this is really good, why didn't I realise this earlier'.
I'm just about to start reading The hearts invisible furies. Quite excited as been recommended it a lot.
Electric brae I have never heard of but it looks interesting, I don't think I can get it on kindle. Makes me think how many random books are out there that I've never heard of but could be my next best read
The hearts invisible furies - I listened in audible, I laughed and cried the narration was so wonderful. Recently listened to Ladder of Years his latest one but was slightly disappointed. It was OK.
I read the first 170pages of Hearts Invisible furies. Had to bring it back to the library. But I have it on audible. So glad you enjoyed it butty. Going to listen to it.
I got it for 25p from the local charity shop!
Am ploughing through Sapiens- enjoyed it initially but am now struggling....I will finish it though, then pick something lighter.
Just started in the dark dark woods. Not sure yet as there is not one likable character!
