(6 Posts)I have never read anything by him that I can remember, certainly not on my bookshelf anyway. Any suggestions for something to start with? I don't mind if short stories or novel.
I'm not a huge fan of Trevor, but remember The Story of Lucy Gault as being a good one of his, also Fools of Fortune and Felicia's Journey (although didn't like this one myself).
I loved Miss Gomez and the Bretheren, a very early novel of his. I also have his collected stories which I also like but can’t remember any particular ones.
I loved The Story of Lucy Gault too.
Thank you! 2 votes for Lucy Gault - I will go for that one.
I think he is most renowned for his short stories. They are brilliantly written but a lot of them are heartbreakingly sad.
