In the middle of this but cannot make up my mind as to whether it is any good at all. Started off intrigued and enjoying it. Now not so sure. Is it just plain weird? Or will I finish enjoying it? I change my opinion every time I pick it up.

We've just finished this at book group. Most didn't like it, but found it well written, me included. Didn't really understand the last couple of pages, though!

I thought it was brilliantly written but oh so dark!

Just bought this to take on holiday (after reading the first chapter as a Kindle sample - I like real books for holidays though!). Will report back.

I enjoyed it overall, though feel the plot was dragged out a little and the subplot with the teacher didn't add anything much.

I also couldn’t make out the last couple of pages. Was the author trying to be obscure on purpose? In fact the only thing I could say as I put
the book down was that she was one weird girl. This year was the
first time for ages that I had not bothered ordering all the Booker prize finalists as the last couple of years they have been so underwhelming. However, saw this in Waterstones and thought it was worth a go. Agree it was well written but wouldn’t hand it to a friend and say read it.

I really enjoyed it, but listened as an audiobook rather than read it and the narrator was really good which I think made all the difference. It was quirky.
