Start using Mumsnet PremiumRecommendations for books with U.K. courtroom scenes
(11 Posts)Anybody got any good recommendations for this? I'm only really interested in UK stuff at the moment. Off the top of my head I already know Strong Poison, Paying Guests, Appletree Yard, Witness for the Prosecution. I tried googling but it's all swamped by US stuff and movies. As realistic as possible, please. I like all the detail. Thank you.
Are there Kavanagh QC books?
I think this would be right up your street and just out:
Summary Justice by John Fairfax - our review here: www.tripfiction.com/court-drama-set-in-london/
The Franchise Affair?
Ooh thank you. I will look into those and Kavanagh.
Apple tree yard? Loved the book, no so keen on tv version.
Rumpole of the Bailey
Bleak House
Jeffrey Archer's written courtroom/legal fiction I think.
All the Rumpole books. Written by John Mortimer, who was a barrister.
Hi i think you would like this, it's got a lot of court scenes in it, it is also NONFICTION, it's called The Mega Pig File by David Jordan
Thank you for the suggestions.
