(16 Posts) Irene - totally agree , but I now have a complete set of her historical romance novels ! I have read all of the crime books as well ( I think) , but not any others
Oh good lord, I better go to bed and try again in the morning.
Ease. WADE. Blooming auto correct!!!
I have My Lord John to try and ease through. I think her contemporary stories are available somewhere so. We'd to look for those. I think one was called Helen.
"I even have The Great Roxhythe <smug>"
I read The Great Roxhythe once. It was seriously bad.
The one that's just been republished as Christmas Party is a rip off though. I was so excited till I realised it was Envious Casca.
also !
I am contemplating buying it as a) it had new stories and b) it has a different cover
But do you want to pay that for 3 new short stories - it seems a bit steep, or am I just tight?
I thought it had 3 new stories in, as well as the contents of 'Pistols'?
I had to warn everyone not to buy it for me . I have been a Heyer fan for more years than I care to think of -( I even have The Great Roxhythe <smug> . ) I already have Pistols for Two, and just knew one of my daughters would have bought it.
I really think it is unfair of the publishers to reprint with a new title
Yes, it's lots of short stories. They are a bit same-y but perfect for dipping into while under the weather which I have been this week.
Think so Little.
Is it the one that was Pistols for Two?
I am just sitting down with a glass of champagne and have finished the first story. <sigh> so lovely. Anyone else?
